A TRIP TO CANADA

OBSERVATION OF MY ORAL PRESENTATION

Presentation: I started with a very short presentation of myself and saying what I was going to talk about. I did a powerpoint with images to made an easier comprehension for my audience, so it supported me. Maybe all the presentation was a bit short because I was speaking just 5minutes.

Body language and eye contact: I can say that I was looking most of the time at my audience. One time I didn't remember a name and I looked to the paper that I had in the table. I think I did some gestures but not many.

Structure: I organized the ideas following the days that I was traveling, so they were in cronologic order. I know that I didn't use many makers.

Content: I think I introduced new ideas like different places that you can go if you go to Quebec. I showed some exaples and some of the information was took asking to my mother or looking for differents leaflets of Qebec which were in my house.

Language: I put some words in differient order like "the River Sant Laurent" which the correct form is Sant Laurent River and I also put a verb in the different tense which it had to be. It was an important mistake that I sasid maybe.. to time that was absolutely incorrect. Because I didn't us many sentence linkeres and I did pause fillers saying mm... aa...

Pronunciation & Intonation: I think the ponunciation wasn't bad, but I know there were some words that I didn't checked the pronunciation. The intonation was the worst part because I was all the time speaking in the same voice. It soundes monotonous.

Self-evaluation:

LITERAL TRANSCRIPTION

Good moorning! I'm Gisela and I'm going to talk about a travel (trip) that I did twelve years ago with my family. We went to Canada, exactly to Quebec because we have a friend who lives there. His name is George and he was our guide (I did a pronunciation mistake) during the three weeks we were there. Here (this) is Quebec. And... We arrived in Montreal after a long journey by plane. Montreal is the capital of Quebec and it's more or less from (I didn't have to put it) here. Next day, we started a rute to the north... and first we visited.. this is Montreal.. and first we visited Quebec city. There, most of the people speak French, you know that in Canada there are two official languages: French and English. Then we continued the rute to the north and we arrived in a very deep and cold river where aree lots of whales and others cetaceans. We acrossed the river Saint Laurent and we saw some some of the.. this whales. We acrrossed it because we wanted to camp in a Natural Park called... erm.. Forillon! Forillon Park... Here you can see two a.. the name is Beluga, they are two whales called.. and they're "weit" ai! white and this is a typical bought of.. full of tourists who want to see.. erm.. whales! Here (this) is Forillon Park, the Atlantic coast. One day we went to visit it when we camp in a camping in Forillon... erm.. Every day we visited different places from there. this is Quessant, a very big stone that you can walk to... to it by foot when the sea goes down. and here is my father, me and my brother. Here we went to visit a reserve of indies called Big Mac like the hamburguer of.. of Mc Donald.. and she was a daughter of a friend of George. and.. the other is me. Then, well, to years later (no! it was only TWO WEEKS LATER!) we.. came back to Montreal and we went to the camp house of George. It's very typical in Canada to have two houses: one in the city and another one on (in) the camp. And we saw scratches of bears because there are lots of bears.. on the tree and some deers, too. And we eat(eate!) a Canada breakfast. It was like American breakfast, you know that mm.. fried food..aam..fried eggs, beens and meet.. You can see it in the photo. And then we went to in.. another side from Quebec, the west side. We went exactly to Verandrie Natural Park which is full of lakes and you can only erm..go there by canoe. And, this is George, me and my mother. Here you can see some erm.. some things thet we.. that we did. Maybe here you can see that we made.. we played to fell down the canoe with my father, my brothers.. they're twins and they are four years older than me. And.. we camp every day in different sides in the Natural Park and erm.. this is.. they are.. friends of George, my mother, my brothers and I. And there we played in the.. different bea.. little beaches that were there. Here you can see.. There were lots of differents types of squirrels and that's.. another photograf... of the.. of the park and it's.. erm.. curious that you can not leave the.. the dishes out of your tend because erm.. there are a (it's a mistake to put a) lots of bears that can fight you.. And that's all, we came back to Montreal and we went to the house.. Idon't know why.. I don't... and thats all, I hope that you have enjoyed or.. maybe (No!) I inite you to.. to go there specially if you like erm.. romantic landscapes or you like to be surrounded by nature.

I think I got a 7,5
